Beneath the cool, desert shade cast by
towering buses, Chad Sorg explains that “Artists were the original
self-promoters.” Sorg helped with planting the buses and construction of the International
Car Forrest of the Lase Church in Goldfield, Nevada. With Sorg’s help, the
roadside destination is gaining huge media publicity internationally;
Huffington Post calls the International Car Forest one of the eleven
therapeutic art destinations to see, Stella McCartney had filmed a fashion
video there, and a documentary about the car forest is in production.
Sorg is the founder of the NadaDada Motel, which proudly called attention to the work of over 300 artistist and preformers (A story published by the New York Times in 2009). Chad is currenly writing a book about his adventures and what lessons he has learned.
When he's not living perodially as the Fishbowler in display windows across the country, he portrait paints in the Midwest. When he's not TEDx talking, he's window cleaning.
